About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a long-term, secure defence project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a significant program of work, contributing to critical infrastructure within a highly structured and professional environment.
This is a permanent position supporting a project with an initial duration of at least two years, commencing around June, with strong potential for ongoing engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide end-to-end electrical engineering support across a major defence project
* Assist with project delivery through to completion, ensuring key milestones and timelines are met
* Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, engineers, and controls teams
* Deliver technical input, engineering oversight, and on-site problem-solving support
* Ensure compliance with Australian standards, defence requirements, and safety regulations
* Support documentation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities
About You
* Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering
* Proven experience delivering projects within Australia
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a secure, on-site environment
Demonstrated capability across:
* Project delivery and completion
* Engineering design and implementation
* Controls and related systems
Eligible to obtain Defence security clearance:
* Australian-born, or
* Australian citizen for a minimum of five years
* Ability to obtain and clear Police Clearance.
Highly Desirable
* Experience working on Defence or secure government projects
* Ability to operate autonomously while contributing to a broader project team
