About the role
RSA is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their dedicated Finance team in Adelaide, offering a part-time opportunity (0.6 FTE) for an experienced finance professional who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organisation's financial health through accurate reporting, efficient process management and compliance with regulatory standards.
As a trusted point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting month-end processes and the integrity of the finance function.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and profit & loss statements.
- Handle BAS preparation and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain cash flow forecasts and fixed asset registers.
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Develop and distribute operational dashboards to provide insights into financial performance.
- Support process improvements, budgeting, and external audits.
What we are looking for
- A tertiary degree in Accounting, or similar, with part or full CA/CPA qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience with financial operations in a mid-to-large-scale organisation or healthcare industry is highly desirable.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with other Office programs.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships across all levels.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset and eagerness to drive continuous improvement.
- Experience using MYOB is highly desirable.
