About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Barista & Front of House (FOH) team member to join our dynamic team at the Southern Cross Campus Services' café in Lismore, NSW. This is a casual position. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating high-quality coffee beverages in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll be doing
1. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and other drinks to customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
2. Operate and maintain coffee machines and other café equipment to ensure consistent beverage quality.
3. Assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring dishes are presented to a high standard.
4. Provide excellent customer service, anticipating and meeting customer needs.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including restocking and cleaning duties.
6. Contribute to a positive team environment and assist colleagues as required.
What we're looking for
* Minimum 1 year of experience as a Barista in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment.
* Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and equipment, including the ability to use espresso machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment.
* Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team, as well as independently.
* Good time management and multi-tasking skills to handle a busy café environment.
* Enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
