We are in search of a proactive and seasoned Delivery Lead to spearhead technical agile delivery initiatives within our insurance business environment. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in championing the integration of agile methodologies to facilitate the seamless execution of projects.

Your key responsibilities will revolve around coordinating cross-functional teams, nurturing collaboration between business stakeholders and technical specialists, and ensuring the timely delivery of cutting-edge solutions aligned with business goals and customer expectations. This role presents an exciting opportunity to drive organisational agility and competitive edge in the dynamic realm of insurance technology

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Agile Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to Agile delivery teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Delivery Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects within the insurance domain, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Agile principles.

- Delivery Oversight :Oversee the end-to-end delivery of technology projects, ensuring adherence to Agile principles, delivery timelines, and quality standards.

- Team Empowerment: Collaborate to empower Agile teams to self-organise and make decisions, removing impediments and fostering an environment conducive to high performance and creativity.

- Facilitation: Initiate and embed operational delivery for teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum framework, ceremonies, and best practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Obstacle Removal: Identify and remove impediments that hinder the progress of Agile teams, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risks to project delivery.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external partners, to understand delivery requirements, priorities, and expectations, and ensure alignment with organisational goals.

- Resource Management: Manage resources, including delivery team members, vendors, and external consultants, to optimise productivity and deliver outcomes effectively.

- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks and dependencies, proactively addressing issues to minimise impact on delivery and outcomes.

- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Agile delivery teams, leveraging feedback, retrospectives, and metrics to enhance delivery processes and performance.

- Reporting and Metrics: Define and track delivery metrics and KPIs, providing regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders, and leveraging data to drive informed decision-making

Qualifications AND experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.

- Proven experience as a Delivery lead in Agile software development environments, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and experience leading Agile transformation initiatives.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.

- Solid understanding of technology delivery processes, including software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps practices, and release management.

- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or other relevant certifications preferred.
