As a key member of our Claims Leadership Group, you will lead an end-to-end claims team dedicated to delivering innovative, compassionate and high-quality claims management. You’ll play a critical role in technical decision-making, uplifting capability, and fostering a culture where our people thrive—and where members receive exceptional care and support. Day to day, you'll: Lead and support a high performing claims team to deliver outstanding member outcomes. Provide technical oversight, including claim file decision making, reviews and board delegated approvals. Implement best practice claims management aligned with ART Life policies, product rules and reinsurance guidelines. Build capability through coaching, mentoring and partnering with Quality Assurance. Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and service excellence. Champion ART’s holistic claims philosophy—prioritising members’ recovery, wellbeing and capacity. Support strategic initiatives, projects, and change management activities. Ensure risks are identified, managed and mitigated within the claims function. This role is a permanent opportunity. About you You’re a confident and empathetic leader with deep expertise in life insurance claims and a passion for helping people. You thrive in environments where you can coach others, manage complexity and drive meaningful improvement. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: Extensive experience in Group Life claims assessment, including complex case management. Expert knowledge of group insurance products, regulatory frameworks and industry standards. Strong ability to interpret and apply policy terms, legislation and contractual agreements. Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams. Analytical capability to identify trends, insights and emerging risks using dashboards and reporting. Experience driving quality, service and productivity improvements. Excellent problem-solving, relationship building and communication skills.
