About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities or Assets Manager to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of properties on behalf of the government, including schools, hospitals, courts, and police stations.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify areas of risk and opportunity in relation to maintenance and capital works, developing and implementing strategies to achieve optimal lifecycle costs and maximize facilities and/or assets.
* Support the delivery of property asset management initiatives and all other strategic planning projects.
* Analyse regular call-outs, reactive maintenance, and other requests to inform departmental asset maintenance plans and preventative maintenance schedules.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for technical, facilities management, and asset maintenance inquiries.
* Monitor and direct contractor performance to ensure timely and budget-friendly execution of contracts.
* Support contract compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Assist with audits and inspections to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
* Maintain positive relationships with agencies, sub-contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
* Monitor and report on subcontractor performance to ensure proactive adherence to program objectives.
