About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced hotel Sales Manager, to join our vibrant and growing conference and events team. In this role, you will be responsible for actively selling and securing conference and event business for RACV Hobart Hotel.

Key Responsibilities

* Qualify leads and convert
* Generate sales across the hotel in Conference & Events and Accommodation
* Conduct detailed property inspections
* Develop relationships & collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
* Build strong relationships to acquire and manage new and existing businessAchieve revenue targets and maintain reporting requirements
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate records using PMS Opera
* Represent RACV at industry and corporate networking events
* Maintain the RACV values and culture

What you'll need to be successful

* Previous Sales Manager experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or a similar environment
* Proficient in MS Office applications & experience in PMS Opera, advantageous
* Tertiary qualifications in hospitality and tourism desirable, but not essential
* Proven sales record, achieve sales targets and client relationship management
* Effective communication skills, collaborate well with internal/external stakeholders, diverse teams of people and work cohesively in a team environment
* Excellent negotiation skills, work well under pressure and to deadlines
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Possess creativity, flair and innovative ideas to meet client requests
* Experience responding to client feedback, managing and resolving issues
* Professional personal presentation
