**About the role**
The Payroll Officer is a critical role that is responsible for undertaking day to day payroll processes and tasks under the supervision of Payroll Manager. This is an opportune time to join an organisation committed to continuous improvement and making a substantial difference within the community.
Reporting to the Payroll manager, you will be part of a team responsible for:
- Accurate and on-time processing of the fortnightly payrolls for in excess of 4,000 employees;
- The processing of new hires, terminations, position changes and other Masterfile maintenance is completed as required under legislation and organisational guidelines;
- Assisting with ensuring appropriate Superannuation administration is remitted within legislated timeframes and organisational policy;
- Assisting the Payroll Manager with scheduled and ad hoc enquiries and reports.
This is a 6 month fixed-term role, however, there is the possibility of extension and/or for the role to become permanent.
Indicative Total Remuneration: $65,445 (plus significant salary sacrificing benefits + superannuation).
**About you**
You will be an enthusiastic Payroll Officer, who is looking for their next opportunity to join a big team and provide payroll processing and support for our organisation. You will be someone who has a wealth of knowledge to bring and someone who is always looking to improve.
To be suitable for this position, your qualifications and experience will consist of:
- Minimum 3 years recent payroll processing experience;
- Aged Care or Community Care experience would be beneficial;
- Cert IV in Payroll Administration, desirable but not required;
- Excellent practical understanding of end-to-end payroll processes in a medium to large organisation, utilising multiple Enterprise Agreements;
- Experience using Aurion Payroll (preferred) or a recognised automated payroll system (e.g. Chris12/IChris, SAP etc) and exposure to electronic time and attendance systems;
- Knowledge in the Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Knowledge of employment legal obligations;
- National Police Check or the ability to obtain.
