Responsibilities

As part of the Drug and Alcohol service, you\'ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals and their families facing substance misuse challenges. You\'ll work closely with clients, their families, and carers to help develop resilience and assist in improving general health and well-being. If you\'re committed to working alongside our consumers and making an impact in the field of Drug and Alcohol, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your expertise and make a lasting contribution to our community.

- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals and families facing substance misuse challenges.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and carers to support resilience and improve general health and well-being.
- Contribute to the Drug and Alcohol service as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) team works for the greater good through an open, flexible and dynamic, strengths-based approach. We listen to understand, not label. ISLHD operates four hospital sites on Dharawal Country in the Illawarra: Coledale District Hospital, Bulli District Hospital, Wollongong Hospital and Shellharbour Hospital.

Essential requirements

Apply now by reading the Position Description, then submitting your resume and answering the selection criteria in the online portal. Essential requirements include:

- Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Valid Class C NSW Drivers Licence
- Minimum of seven years full-time experience post-graduate with at least five years full-time experience in the Drug and Alcohol field with approved post-graduate qualifications in the Drug and Alcohol specialty
