Team Leader Line Marking and Signage

Infrastructure Operations

Permanent Full Time

Maryborough

Operations Level 5 - $71,041 plus superannuation

* + annualised allowance of $2,597 per annum
* + 9-day fortnight

What we are looking for:

Fraser Coast Regional Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader Line Marking and Signage to lead a hands-on, collaborative crew delivering essential road marking and signage maintenance. This role supports the delivery of key civil infrastructure services through effective day-to-day supervision, technical guidance, and a strong focus on safety and quality.

What your day will look like:

* Lead a team responsible for road line marking, signs, and traffic data
* Coordinate resources, materials, and plant use to meet work programs
* Ensure works comply with Council and Australian Standards
* Support planning, estimates, and reporting for monthly works claims
* Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain site safety
* Respond to storm damage or urgent safety requests as required

What you'll need for success:

* Relevant Trade qualification (AQF Level 3 or above) or equivalent worked experience in painting and line marking of a variety of items and surfaces
* Construction Induction (White Card)
* MR Licence
* Proven leadership and team supervision experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to manage resources, meet deadlines and work independently
* Strong understanding of WHS in a supervisory role

What's nice to have:

* Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office and corporate systems
* Experience installing and using traffic classifiers
* Familiarity with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices
• Completion of Council's mandatory training (WHS, Duty of Care, etc.)
