Job Title: Disaster Management Specialist
The Department for Energy and Mining is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Disaster Management Specialist. This key role will involve ensuring the safe and sustainable management of energy and mining resources.
Main Responsibilities:
* To develop and implement disaster management plans that ensure the safety of workers and the public
* To conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies
* To collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote safe and sustainable practices
* To prepare reports and briefings for senior officials and other stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A strong knowledge base in modern disaster management, audit practices, and risk management
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A high level of integrity and confidentiality
Qualifications and Experience:
* A tertiary qualification in disaster management, engineering, economics, commerce, or a related field
* Proven experience in disaster management, auditing, and risk assessment
Benefits:
An ASO5 salary range of $85,790 - $95,413 + superannuation
