We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations across a diverse portfolio of entities within the Top End Hospitality Group, including hospitality venues and a not-for-profit services club.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is confident managing multiple entities with differing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end bookkeeping across multiple entities
* Bank accounts, balance sheet, and intercompany transaction reconciliations
* Accounts payable and receivable management
* BAS, IAS, payroll tax, and compliance lodgements, including GST coding, reconciliations, and preparation of adjustments
* Payroll processing, superannuation, and employee entitlements, including Single Touch Payroll (STP) compliance and reporting
* Monthly management reporting, cash flow management, and budget monitoring, including variance analysis and insights
* Support with the management of year-end processes, including preparation, collation and maintenance of workpapers, and proactive liaison with external accountants
* Identify and implement process improvements across finance functions
About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in a bookkeeping role (flexible for the right candidate)
* Relevant qualification (Certificate IV in Bookkeeping & Accounting or higher)
* Strong proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software (Xero Certified Advisor desirable)
* Solid experience in payroll processing and compliance
* Good understanding of trust accounting and multi-entity structures
* Strong knowledge of Australian tax and compliance requirements
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* Experience in hospitality, property, or not-for-profit/services club environments (desirable)
* Australian working rights and a current national police clearance (within six months)
