Commencing Term 1, 2026 / Full-time / PermanentWhat is the Role?
The School is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Economics / Business Studies teacher to join the Humanities team of committed and professional staff.
This is a full-time, permanent position, commencing Term 1, 2026.Who will the successful applicant be?
Recent experience in teaching HSC Economics / Business Studies and/or IB Business Management across Years 11 and 12Ability to teach Stage 5 elective CommerceWillingness to teach Stages 4 and 5 History and GeographyEnthusiasm for their subject and the ability to inspire senior secondary age studentsKnowledge of recent developments in the theory and practice of secondary pedagogy and specifically how this applies to their subject areaOutstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the rest of the HSIE teamConfidence in the use of technology and a willingness to embrace it to enhance learning in the classroomAn understanding of and commitment to the School's Christian mission, values and ethosA detailed position description is attached - top RHS of advertisement.Experience in teaching International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) would be an advantage.Applications close: 19 October 2025Interviews will commence as applications are received.See here for further employment benefits at SACS: St Andrew's Cathedral School?
