**About the Role:** The Strategic Finance Business Partner provides expert level support and advice to Executive Directors, senior officers, and other responsible staff for effective financial management of their budget.
This role leads a team of advisors and finance officers in providing specialist consultancy services. It operates in the context of ensuring budget and financial strategies reflect critical departmental needs in delivering high-quality outcomes.
The role will liaise closely with senior departmental staff on division budget linkages with internal processes, Estimates Committee, Department of Treasury and Finance reporting, and other financial responsibilities.
**Key Qualifications:** An appropriate tertiary qualification in accountancy, finance, business management, or a relevant discipline is essential.
The successful applicant must obtain a Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check prior to employment, which requires renewal every five years before expiry.
Additionally, the incumbent will need to undertake Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or online fundamentals course, updating it every three years.
**Remuneration:** ASO8 $121,107 - $125,679 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
