The Barwon Health Foundation is the independent charitable arm of Barwon Health, created to connect the generosity of our community with the life-saving and life-changing work of our region's health service. Together with donors, partners and supporters, the Foundation invests in excellence in medical services, facilities, education and research to enhance the health and wellbeing of people across Geelong and the Barwon South West region.
With a major capital campaign soon to be launched, the Foundation is entering an exciting new era. Following a recent structural review, a new senior leadership team will be introduced in **** to drive fundraising growth, elevate the donor experience and expand the Foundation's impact for patients, families and clinicians for generations to come. To support this momentum, we are seeking an exceptional Head of Fundraising.
We are looking for applicants who are either currently based in Geelong or willing to relocate to Geelong. Being part of the community – understanding its people, culture and networks – is essential to thriving in this role.
Think big-ticket events, galas and fun runs; corporate and community fundraising days; strong corporate partnerships, peer-to-peer giving, workplace giving, social enterprise and an uplifted focus on volunteer engagement and donor recognition.
About the Role
The Head of Fundraising is both strategic and hands-on, delivering multi-million-dollar fundraising outcomes while leading a dynamic, highly experienced fundraising and events team. You will lead, shape and roll-out the Foundation's fundraising strategies, elevate engagement across all channels, and ensure the delivery of high-impact campaigns and events.
This role is responsible for end-to-end fundraising across events, community fundraising, corporate partnerships, commercial fundraising, volunteers and recognition.

Year-on-year growth in fundraising revenue.
A balanced, diverse and sustainable fundraising pipeline.
Vibrant, profitable and well-attended events.
Strong, strategic and long-term corporate partnerships.
Scalable peer-to-peer fundraising programs.
High volunteer engagement and alignment with the Foundation's purpose.
Being a visible, credible and trusted ambassador for Barwon Health Foundation.
Strong team performance, cohesion and engagement.
Delivering meaningful fundraising experiences that resonate with the Foundation's supporters.
Key Criteria
Proven senior leadership experience in fundraising (preferably within health or NFP organisations).
Demonstrated success delivering and growing revenue across multiple channels.
Strong experience building and nurturing corporate partnerships (further experience in bequests and major donations an advantage).
Success in leading and delivering large-scale events.
Commercial acumen to assess return on fundraising investment.
Proven experience leading people and driving engagement, accountability and results.
Highly organised, strategic and results-driven.
