Mechanical Assembly Technician
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team at an advanced manufacturing facility.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced mechanical assembly technician to contribute to the production of high-precision mechanical components and sub-assemblies. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to support safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Component Assembly: Assemble high-precision mechanical components and sub-assemblies using various hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
* Troubleshooting: Read and interpret technical documents, work instructions, and SOPs to produce components to exact specifications.
* Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure that components meet the required standards.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders through participation in Production System daily activities to support safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team culture.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve workflow and enhance operational performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Mechanical Trade-qualification: Relevant mechanical trade qualification (ideally Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade) or proven experience.
* Experience: Experience in mechanical assembly, ideally in aerospace or high-precision environments.
* Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions, proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.
* Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity, excellent teamwork and communication skills, strong sense of ownership and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all work undertaken.
* Security Clearance: Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
* International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) Regulations: Eligibility to be cleared for ITAR regulations.
