The Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic leader who will be responsible for leading quality teaching, learning and assessment programs in line with the Western Australian Curriculum and Senior Secondary Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) Courses. The ideal candidate should have outstanding interpersonal, organisational and communication skills to lead a strong, highly skilled, and diverse team.
They should be able to form positive working relationships within the Learning Area and the wider school community as they are regarded as a key member of the school's senior leadership team. They will also lead the development of highly engaging mathematics curriculum for students of all levels, including differentiation for student needs.
They should be data literate and be able to reflect on and assess the effectiveness of teaching practices in line with the school's instructional framework, promote an environment of active and positive learning, and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential.
They should lead and have extensive experience in operating high level Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) courses in Specialist, Methods, and Applications, building staff capacity to work with highly capable students from gifted and talented and academic extension programs.
Assistive technologies will also play a significant role in supporting student learning.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with relevant work rights;
* Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia;
* A valid Working With Children Check; and
* A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit.
