About the Role
We are seeking a Sales Manager to manage and grow sales for our Household and Industrial division based at our plastics manufacturing site in Altona North. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Account managing and business developing for packaging products manufactured from our national sites and servicing accounts in Victoria.
* Delivering exceptional customer service and quality experiences to our customers.
* Retaining existing market share and driving growth through new business development and customer spend.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Manager will:
* Work closely with major customers, employees, and external contractors to ensure products meet agreed requirements and specifications.
* Maintain proactive customer service standards and develop supplier partnerships through collaboration and market intelligence.
* Achieve budgeted revenue and margin targets through continuous development of new business and product portfolio growth.
* Negotiate supply agreements that enhance profit and Sales value.
* Prepare and present detailed reporting and analysis on business activities, performance against targets, and market and industry opportunities.
* Submit supply tenders and proposals that deliver competitive and valuable services for customers and our business.
* Ensure accurate sales and status reporting of business activity and team performance.
* Mentor the team and provide support to continually improve the sales environment, morale, and team culture.
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Experience in plastic packaging sales and account management.
* Strong financial acumen and ability to meet financial performance targets.
* Capability to engage at all levels and influence and negotiate effectively.
* Strategic selling and customer solution focus.
* Proven experience in Technical Sales and Solution Selling as a key account management or Business Development Manager.
* Personal presence and credibility to build stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
Experience in technical/plastic sales.
