An opportunity is available for an experienced Data Migration Lead to support high-value, high-risk ICT programs and multi-year digital transformation initiatives delivering critical digital outcomes.
This role sits within a large, complex delivery environment and requires specialist expertise across data analysis, data migration and data governance to support implementation projects and architecture outcomes.

About the Role
The
Data Migration Lead
will be responsible for data analysis, migration, and related data activities across implementation projects, contributing to design and architecture deliverables.
The role requires strong collaboration across project teams to ensure data is accurately mapped, validated, migrated, and governed.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Define, document, and communicate data migration requirements and associated business rules
* Develop and maintain source-to-target data mappings, including data convergence, cleansing, validation, and synchronisation rules
* Contribute to the design, planning, and management of data migration processes
* Support data migration activities across legacy, staging, and target environments
* Perform data migration testing, reconciliation, and exception reporting
* Identify data quality issues and recommend remediation actions
* Identify opportunities to enhance data governance and data management practices
Essential Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience delivering data analysis and migration for multi-system data convergence projects
* Minimum 5 years' experience gathering and documenting data requirements, data migration business rules, and complex data maps
* Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* High-level written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
* Experience working within structured project or program delivery environments
* Ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
* Proven ability to work collaboratively and support knowledge transfer within project teams
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or Software Engineering
* Experience analysing spatial data and familiarity with Esri GIS / ArcGIS Online
* Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket/Git, Confluence)
* Experience with Enterprise Architect and data modelling methodologies
Mandatory Requirements
* National Police Clearance
* Ability and willingness to relocate to Darwin for the duration of the contract
