Casual ELICOS Teacher – Darwin Campus

Up to 20 hours per week
Alana Kaye College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Casual ELICOS Teacher to deliver English language programs at our Darwin Campus. This position offers up to 20 hours per week and requires strict adherence to the ELICOS Standards 2018, ASQA requirements, and the ESOS Framework.
Role Purpose
To deliver high-quality ELICOS tuition that meets approved course outcomes, ensures student progression, and maintains full compliance with the ELICOS Standards 2018, the National Code, and internal academic policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver ELICOS classes in accordance with the approved Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS) and course curriculum
* Ensure teaching, learning, and assessment practices comply with the ELICOS Standards 2018
* Maintain accurate and timely academic records, including attendance, assessments, and student progress
* Identify and support students at risk in line with intervention and support policies
* Participate in moderation, validation, and continuous improvement activities
* Comply with ASQA, ESOS Act, and National Code of Practice requirements
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Mandatory Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or higher
* Recognised TESOL qualification meeting ELICOS Standards (e.g. CELTA, TESOL, Trinity CertTESOL or equivalent)
* Demonstrated experience teaching ELICOS to international students
* Sound knowledge of ELICOS Standards 2018, ASQA, and ESOS compliance requirements
* Ability to maintain accurate academic and compliance documentation
* Current working rights in Australia
Desirable Experience
* Experience working within an ASQA-regulated RTO or CRICOS provider
* Familiarity with student management systems (e.g. attendance and progress tracking)
* Experience with academic intervention and student support processes
