Job Opportunity: Graphic Designer
We are seeking a Graphic Designer for a Local Council client based in inner city suburbs. This is a 6-month contract role paying $65 per hour + super.
About the Role
1. Deliver graphic design and production of publications using Adobe Creative Suite; support communication plans, projects, and campaigns by creating effective digital content for various audiences.
2. Apply user-centred design principles; create graphics and layouts for product illustrations, logos, social media, websites, animations, and videos.
3. Produce print or digital collateral based on internal briefs, including developing concepts, graphics, and layouts.
4. Maintain and promote adherence to corporate identity and accessibility guidelines, advising on fonts, images, readability, and audience needs.
5. Create a visual language aligned with brand guidelines, including illustrations, icons, colours, typography, and animations.
6. Support communication and customer access teams with campaign planning, social media content, email marketing, and website updates.
7. Develop and maintain Microsoft templates consistent with corporate identity standards.
Skills & Experience
1. Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, or Graphic Design.
2. Experience in a fast-paced graphic design environment.
3. Experience with VIC government projects is preferable.
Additional Details
* Contract duration: 3 months initially, with potential extension.
* Hourly rate: $52 - $76 plus super.
