Position Overview:
The Transport Depot Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the depot, ensuring efficient and safe transportation services. You will lead a team of drivers while maintaining high standards of service delivery and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day operations of the transport depot, ensuring efficient scheduling and resource allocation.
* Supervise and support a team of drivers, providing direction and guidance.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
* Monitor and manage fleet performance, including vehicle maintenance and inspections.
* Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
* Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
* Maintain accurate records and reports to the operations manager.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Depot Manager or in a similar management role within the transport or logistics industry.
* Minimum HC licence
* Forklift licence
* Strong understanding of transport regulations and safety standards.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in using transport management software and MS Office.
