CQUniversity Gladstone | Fixed‑Term until 31.12.2026 | Part‑Time (0.5 FTE – 36.25 hrs/fortnight)
Remuneration: $47,809 to $53,780 pa (salary $40,399 to $45,445 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
About the role
As Communications & Engagement Officer you will play a vital role in sharing the story of the Gladstone Healthy Harbour Partnership (GHHP) with the community, partners and key stakeholders. You will lead engaging communications and coordinate community events that champion GHHP’s mission, managing social media, producing publications and driving outreach to showcase the vital work keeping Gladstone’s harbour thriving.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communications strategies to promote GHHP’s mission.
- Create, edit and publish content across social media, websites and newsletters.
- Coordinate and promote community events and educational activities.
- Engage stakeholders and partners through effective outreach.
- Translate complex environmental information into clear messaging.
Position Requirements
- Solid written and visual communication skills with experience creating content for diverse audiences and managing social media, websites and newsletters.
- Proven ability to coordinate and promote community events or educational activities.
- Relevant degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Training or experience in science communication, environmental education, or related fields (Desirable).
- Experience in digital marketing, media production or event coordination, with strong skills in creating engaging content across multiple platforms (Desirable).
