With around 50 staff, LDC operates across property management, labour hire, trade services and property development, and owns and develops the landmark Larrakia Cultural Centre, now under construction in Darwin. These initiatives highlight LDC's unique ability to deliver both cultural pride and long‐term economic benefits.
Responsibilities
Reporting to a highly engaged Board, the Chief Executive will set strategy, deliver growth, and ensure governance excellence. The role is as diverse as it is rewarding: consulting with Traditional Owners and families, negotiating with government or commercial partners, and working closely with the team to shape new opportunities.
Qualifications
You're a proven senior executive, ideally with experience across industries such as infrastructure, construction, resources, or manufacturing, and you know how to grow businesses that balance purpose with profit.
* Worked closely with boards, navigated government and regulatory environments, and built organisations that thrive commercially while serving their communities.
* Strong relationship builder, culturally aware, capable of uniting diverse stakeholders around a shared vision.
* Experienced leader of people, able to inspire, guide and develop staff at every level.
* Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, engineering or a related field; prior experience with Aboriginal organisations or communities is preferred.
* Motivated by the chance to shape a legacy that delivers prosperity and pride for the Larrakia people.
