About the role

Holmesglen Private Hospital are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join their close-knit Critical Care team on a permanent part time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure we provide high levels of patient care. If successful, you must be available to work 12 hour shifts on a rotating roster.

Holmesglen Private Hospital is a world class facility located in the South Eastern region of Melbourne. Close to public transport and with affordable onsite parking. Holmesglen Private is a state of the art 147 bed hospital, comprising of a 24/7 Emergency Department, 6 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9 bed specialised Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12 bay Day Infusion Unit and 5 specialised inpatient units. – including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology and Rehabilitation Services.

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred patient care

Demonstrate professional practice as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's polices and processes

Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care

Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs

Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes

Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs

Act as a role model for Safe Practice

Essential Criteria:

Current AHPRA registration

Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in ICU/CCU or ED

Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards

Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment

Excellent communication skills

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025" (salaries range between $36.1308 to $48.32 for Registered Nurse and $50.25 for CNS)
