Alcohol and Other Drug Support Worker
Goldfields Rehabilitation Services Inc. offer the only residential alcohol and other drugs detoxification and rehabilitation service for Goldfields' residents and offers a comprehensive programme and case management service to enable our clients to get their lives back on track, including outreach and transitional housing for graduates of the programme. Our service also has a medically supervised detoxification unit.
We are currently seeking a full-time Alcohol and Other Drug Support Worker to join our team as part of the Rehabilitation Services. As we are a 24x7 service the roster can include after-hours and weekend shifts.
The successful applicant will be required to meet following essential criteria;
* Relevant certificate, qualifications and experience in alcohol and drug sector
* Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Demonstrated crisis intervention skills.
* Experience in working with individuals with complex and co-occurring needs.
* Experience in working with families with significant impact from alcohol and other drug use.
* Demonstrated experience in the implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement systems.
* Experience of working with substance misuse issues and a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
Applications able to also meet the following desirable criteria will be looked upon favourably;
* Knowledge of community-based support / outreach practices
* Understanding of the Aboriginal people and culture of the Goldfields region.

* 100 point identification check
* Successful criminal record screening clearance
* Successful working with children check
* Current C class driver's license
