What You’ll Do As our Maintenance Officer, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping our site in great shape. You’ll: Carry out general maintenance and repairs — from plumbing and carpentry to painting and fixing that annoying squeaky door. Keep our grounds looking fantastic — mowing, pruning, and maintaining gardens. Coordinate with contractors and occasionally guide other team members and volunteers. Stay on top of scheduled maintenance plans using our asset management system. Help ensure the safety and comfort of our residents and staff, every single day. About You You’re someone who: Has a trade qualification (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry). Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements, or ability to acquire with one month of employment. 12mths’ experience in a handyman/maintenance role. Has experience in property maintenance, either in aged care, community housing, or a similar environment. Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer. Can work independently but loves being part of a team. Brings a can-do attitude and genuine care for others. Holds a valid driver’s licence, and relevant checks like a Police Clearance and NDIS screening – or the ability to obtain.
