They are currently managing multiple projects and have an impressive pipeline of work.
The roleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join the organisation as an Assistant Accountant on a permanent full-time basis. The role encompasses aspects of junior financial accounting and management accounting. In a high-performing culture, you will work in a tight-knit team and report into a Senior Accountant and also work closely with the CFO. You will be required to manage key relationships, both internally and externally, and across all levels. The role will include elements of hands-on duties as well as higher level tasks. It is a diverse role that will partner closely multiple areas of the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
* General accounting duties including balance sheet reconciliations, month-end, tax compliance, overseeing accounts etc.
* Bank reconciliations
* Inter-company reconciliations & consolidations
* Fixed assets
* Assist with year-end tasks for various entities such as preparation of statutory accounts including P&L, balance sheet, trial balances, GL analysis and journals.
* Ad-hoc project work
The successful candidateIn order to secure this position, you will be a hands-on accountant with a great attitude. You will be adaptable and place a strong emphasis on relationship building and partnering across all levels. The following will be favourably looked upon:
* Relevant industry experience in a similar role
* First-time movers from reputable accounting firms are encouraged to apply
* Tertiary qualifications as well as having commenced CA/CPA studies
* Strong Excel skills
* Systems/ERP experience
