This is your chance to make a real difference for students who are at the centre of everything we do.
We’re looking for a passionate, student centred Study Skills Advisor who loves helping learners build confidence, capability and independence in their studies. You’ll be right there with our students, supporting them to overcome challenges, develop strong study habits and believe in their ability to succeed.
This role isn’t about tutoring content — it’s about empowering students with the skills to learn well, now and into the future.
As a Study Skills Advisor, you’ll be part of a small, highly collaborative team of specialists supporting students in one to one appointments and drop in sessions across all Gordon campuses.
Some key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
* Support students to build strong, practical study skills — including time management, note taking, assessment preparation and digital capability
* Deliver one to one and small group study skills appointments, both face to face and online
* Develop engaging online learning resources to support self paced learning
* Work closely with internal services to ensure students are connected to the right support when needed
* Travel and work flexibly across Geelong and Wyndham campuses

About You:
You’re someone who genuinely cares about student success and brings warmth, professionalism and curiosity to your work.
* Experience supporting students in an education or learning support environment
* A strong understanding of effective study habits and learning strategies
* Confidence working with students from diverse backgrounds and with different learning needs
* Excellent communication skills and the ability build rapport
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to work autonomously when needed
* A commitment to inclusion, respect and student wellbeing
* A relevant education qualification (e.g. language, literacy, TESOL, numeracy or digital literacy) or equivalent experience

Salary Range:
PACCT Level 6 - $88,677 - $93,546 p.a + Superannuation
