HR & Payroll Officer – Join Our Growing Oyster Company

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR & Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team at Angel Seafood, a proudly South Australian, family-built company with operations across Cowell, Coffin Bay, Haslam, and Streaky Bay.
This multifaceted role will provide vital support to our HR and payroll functions, ensuring our people and processes run smoothly while maintaining our strong workplace culture.

This role offers the opportunity to visit our bays and gain firsthand understanding of the operational side of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Payroll Manager with fortnightly pay runs and employee data management
* Manage and maintain staff accommodation registers for company housing
* Coordinate and support recruitment processes, including pre-screening applicants
* Provide administrative support to Bay Managers and other managers throughout the company
* Assist with onboarding, inductions, and employee recordkeeping
* Maintain and utilise the Employment Hero HR software platform
* Support general HR initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies
* Allocate and record PPE issued to staff, ensuring accurate tracking and returns
* Assist with reviewing and revising operational procedures and protocols
About You
* Experience in payroll, HR, or administration (aquaculture or regional business experience desirable)
* Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems (Employment Hero experience advantageous but not essential)
* A proactive, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
