The role
As our GM Operations & Commercial, you'll report to the Chief Operating Officer and serve as a keystone leader responsible for how Employment Hero operates and monetises at scale. You will sit at the center of our system, ensuring regional execution is consistent, scalable, and grounded in data-led commercial reality.
This is a keystone leadership role in the company. It exists to turn strategy into repeatable execution and sustainable growth.
Key focus areas
* Global Execution: Ensuring regional operations (APAC, UK, Canada) execute consistently and pricing, packaging, and growth decisions are data-led and grounded in reality.
* Operating Model Excellence: Designing simple, scalable customer, sales, and marketing models that prevent local fragmentation.
* AI & Platform Impact: Owning Sales and CX platforms to ensure AI investments deliver measurable productivity gains and commercial impact.
* Commercial Growth: Leading strategies that improve growth quality and balance volume with margin trade-offs.
This will include:
Global Operations Leadership
* Regional Management: Lead Operations Directors in APAC, UK, and Canada to ensure execution-ready regions.
* Global Standards: Define "what good looks like" and resolve cross-geo operational escalations.
Operating Model Ownership
* Scalable Design: Evolve simple, scalable operating models for Sales, Marketing, and CX.
* Systems Translation: Partner with Product and Ops Engineering to turn models into tooling priorities.
Platforms & AI Acceleration
* Tech Ownership: Own Sales and CX platforms (Salesforce, Zendesk, RevTech) and internal AI acceleration.
* Impact Accountability: Focus on adoption and productivity gains rather than just feature delivery.
Commercial Intelligence & Performance
* Commercial Strategy: Own pricing and packaging in partnership with Finance.
* Data-Led Decisions: Balance growth trade-offs (volume, ARPU, margin) using actionable data insights
Who you are

* Senior SaaS Leadership: Proven experience as a senior operator in a scaled SaaS or tech-enabled business.
* Multi-Geo Expertise: A track record of leading operations across multiple global geographies.
* Commercial Literacy: Deep understanding of unit economics, pricing strategy, and growth trade-offs.
* Systems Thinking: The ability to think in systems and use platforms/automation as levers for execution.
* Pragmatic Influence: A decisive, outcomes-oriented leadership style that can influence without centralising control.
* Change Resilience: Comfort with complexity, ambiguity, and influencing senior leaders constructively.
