We are currently looking for an experienced Director of Nursing (Psychiatric Registered Nurse) for a permanent full-time senior leadership opportunity within a fully accredited private mental health service. This facility provides comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care, including a specialised therapeutic treatment suite, and is focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centred mental health care within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
The Benefits
Competitive salary package: $140,000 – $160,000
Permanent full-time role – Monday to Friday, 7:30/8:00am to 4:30/5:00pm

The Role
Provide strategic clinical and operational leadership across the service
Oversee nursing teams, clinical services, patient flow, and operational performance
Drive occupancy and service efficiency while maintaining high-quality patient care
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and clinical governance frameworks
Build strong collaborative partnerships with admitting psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams
Provide leadership and oversight to senior operational and clinical management staff
About You
Current AHPRA registration as a Mental Health Registered Nurse
Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing (Diploma or Masters)
Extensive mental health clinical experience with demonstrated leadership capability
Minimum 2–3 years experience in senior leadership roles such as NUM, ANUM, or Director level
Experience working within a private mental health hospital environment
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
Strong understanding of accreditation and clinical governance standards
Valid Australian working rights
