Rostering OfficerTemporary Casual Role | Not-for-Profit Community Service ProviderLocation: New Town
Are you a detail-oriented Rostering Officer seeking a new opportunity to make an impact in the community services sector? Join a well-respected not-for-profit organisation on this temporary leave cover contract and play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient rostering operations within the established rostering team.
Your New CompanyThe team in this growing organisation is dedicated to supporting children and young people and disability support programs through quality community and youth services. Their person-centred approach places participants at the heart of decision-making, ensuring they receive tailored support that enhances their independence and wellbeing.
Your New RoleReporting to the Rostering Team Leader, you will coordinate the day-to-day rostering for the multidisciplinary teams. Your primary focus will be to ensure rosters are effectively managed, with shifts filled according to participant choice, staff skills and experience, and compliance with award and WHS considerations.
Key responsibilities include:

1. Developing and implementing rosters in collaboration with the Program Managers.
2. Assessing shift vacancies and transferring staff appropriately.
3. Managing timesheets and ensuring compliance with rostering standards.
4. Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, including People & Culture, CYS Managers, and Complex Support Workers.
5. Managing leave and overtime arrangements.
6. Providing administrative support.
7. Collaborating with the recruitment team to source and maintain a pool of suitable support workers.
What You'll Need to SucceedTo thrive in this role, you will demonstrate:
8. Proven experience in rostering and workforce coordination, ideally within the community services sector.
9. High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
10. Ability to navigate legislative requirements related to workforce management.
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
12. Capability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
13. Proficiency in rostering software, such as Visual Care (preferred but not essential), and the Microsoft Office suite.
Essential Requirements:To be considered, candidates must have:
14. Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (WWVP) with NDIS endorsement (or willingness to obtain).
15. A National Police Check (less than six months old).
