Job Overview:
The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing all engineering operations, ensuring seamless facilities management and exceptional guest experiences.
This includes leading the Engineering Team in day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Engineering Team in delivering high-quality service standards, equipment schedules, safety protocols, and work schedules.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to ensure all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
* Coordinate services performed by outside contractors in accordance with contracts and service agreements.
* Collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Office departments to ensure seamless operations and timely responses to service requests.
Requirements:
* Advanced knowledge of building management and engineering principles.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
* Flexibility with rostering and availability 24/7 in case of an emergency.
* Previous experience in facilities management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
* A hands-on approach to problem-solving and a passion for delivering consistency.
