Your next career opportunity
As Associate Director, Shared Services and Operations Planning, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and delivery of integrated operational planning framework that underpins the University's strategic and performance goals.
Working within the Enterprise Performance Group and reporting to the Director, Enterprise Planning, you will support the coordination and integration of planning activities across shared services and operational portfolios. A key part of this role involves ensuring the alignment of institutional strategies with resource constraints and operational realities, while enabling informed decision-making and prioritisation.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by delivering data-informed insights, scenario planning, and strategic advice to inform key decisions and ensure the successful execution of the University's consolidated operational plan with seamless integration into the Enterprise Planning Cycle.
Your key responsibilities will include :
* Leading the development and refinement of integrated operational planning frameworks.
* Supporting the University's annual planning cycle and ensuring delivery alignment across shared services teams.
* Providing high-quality analysis and scenario planning to inform senior leadership decisions.
* Overseeing the management of the University's shared services catalogue and coordinating material changes through governance channels.
* Consulting with Chancellery, functional leaders, and faculties to ensure planning processes are collaborative, data-driven, and responsive to changing needs.
* Monitoring planning effectiveness and embedding continuous improvement practices.

You are a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of operational planning and shared services frameworks. You combine analytical expertise with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
You will also have :
* A postgraduate qualification and / or equivalent senior-level experience in operational and / or strategic planning.
* Demonstrated experience in enterprise-wide planning processes and service integration.
* Strong knowledge of financial planning, workforce strategy, and resource allocation.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of an organisation.
* Experience leading teams and driving improvement initiatives in complex, matrix environments.
* An ability to deliver practical insights and strategies based on data and organisational context.
About the Enterprise Performance Group (EPG)
The Enterprise Performance Group brings together complementary functions including enterprise planning, data management and analytics, operational and regulatory reporting, business transformation, project delivery, and service improvement. EPG supports the University in identifying opportunities, designing solutions, and measuring performance across all operations. This team plays a pivotal role in shaping how services are planned, delivered, and continuously improved to support the University's strategic prioritie
