Overview
Development Compliance Officer – Full-time, Ongoing. Position Numbers: 4514 and 4550. Location: Queanbeyan. The Package: $1,835.09 - $2,027.82 gross per week + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 14 of the QPRC Salary System 2025). Full time - 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements will be considered.

In this role you will
* Conduct inspections and investigations across a diverse range of sites to ensure compliance with Planning and Building Legislation
* Provide advice to support safe and compliant development in a rapidly growing LGA
* Resolve issues using sound judgement and practical problem‐solving and make recommendations on potential enforcement options
* Help protect community safety, amenity and environmental standards.
We are looking for someone who
* Has qualifications and/or extensive experience in Building Surveying, Town Planning or Environmental Health
* Communicates confidently and delivers excellent customer service in all interactions.
* Applies legislation accurately and approaches compliance with fairness and professionalism.
* Works collaboratively as part of a supportive, high‐performing team.
* Solves problems with sound judgement and a practical, solutions‐focused mindset.
