Genus is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support FMG projects across our portfolio of works in Western Australia. This FIFO role will see you playing a key part in maintaining high safety, health, and environmental standards across construction and electrical infrastructure projects.
About the Role
Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will provide hands‐on safety support to site teams, ensuring compliance with FMG, Genus, and legislative requirements. This is a site‐based advisory role where visibility, communication, and practical risk management are critical.
Roster: 2 weeks on / 1 week off (FIFO)
Location: FMG mine sites, WA
Employment Type: Full‐time
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day‐to‐day HSE support to project and construction teams
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard identification
* Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
* Support implementation of HSE systems, procedures, and risk assessments
* Facilitate toolbox talks, pre‐starts, and safety interactions
* Monitor compliance with FMG and Genus HSE standards
* Updating MyOSh
* Reporting
* Promote a strong safety culture across all site activities
About You
* Minimum 5 years' HSE experience within mining, construction, or heavy industry
* Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (essential)
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence site personnel
* Ability to work autonomously in a FIFO environment
* Current C Class Driver's Licence
* FMG Inducted (highly desirable or willing to obtain)
* Full Australian working rights
