Who We're Looking for and What You'll Do
Due to the continuing growth of the business and increased work levels, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Landscape Estimator to join our centralised Estimating Team based in our Queensland office on a full-time basis.
This role involves estimating the costs of projects, preparing detailed proposals, and working closely with our design and construction teams to ensure projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Accountabilities
* Investigate tender portals to identify new opportunities relevant to our specialised services.
* Develop precise cost estimates and prepare budgets / take-offs using estimating software. (Procore software a must)
* Foster and maintain strong client relationships throughout the quoting process.
* Prepare comprehensive Quotes and Tenders from initial evaluation to final managerial review, ensuring all necessary documentation is included prior to submission.
* Create detailed job folders, including Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and budget information, for seamless handover to the Construction team.
* Maintain a high standard of file management and organisation and provide analytical reports on current and potential tenders.
* Collaborate with Design and Construction Teams to ensure estimates align with project goals and client expectations.
* Review and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Conduct site visits, if required, to assess conditions, gather data, and identify potential challenges.
Qualifications and Skills
* Previous experience in Estimating, Commercial Landscape Construction preferred.
* Proficiency in estimating software Pro Core, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a strong focus on attention to detail.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in client management and strong follow-up abilities.
