THE FRIENDSHIP BAKERY
The Friendship Bakery is non-profit retail bakery located in in the Mark Moran Vaucluse with access to the public. Our mission is to engage young adults with disabilities in the local community through skills development and workplace experiences. We have a small clientele from the local neighbourhood as well as a subscription delivery service. Our products include Challah, biscuits, cakes, quiches and other baked goods - we aim to be the friendliest bakery with high-quality ingredients. Our products are produced by our inclusive team of bakers with and without disabilities and offers a capacity development program to assist people with disabilities on their path towards employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Smooth running of the day-to-day operations
- Ensure an excellent face-to-face and online customer experience
- Manage cash and bank deposits
- Manage stock and inventory levels, ensure high quality products and their sell-by-dates
- Maintain a good appearance and hygiene level of the store and visual presentation of the baked goods
- Managing the workflows and production schedules of food production
- Manage the relationship with suppliers and ordering
- Manage cost and stock levels, of ingredients
- Maintain WHS, quality and hygiene standards and reduce waste
- Coordinate and prepare the delivery of online orders
- Manage customer feedback
- Manager rostering of participants, mentors, bakers and volunteers.
- Train, coach and motivate team members, create an inclusive and positive working environment
- Conduct interviews, orientations and workshops for staff, volunteers, and participants
- Manage the volunteer engagement initiatives
- Be the ambassador of Friendship Bakery and Friendship Circle International brand and ethos.
- Attend management meetings, as required
