Site Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Site Operations Manager to oversee pit operations and earthworks construction at our high-grade mine in British Columbia, Canada.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining or civil engineering and 10+ years of experience in heavy civil and/or mining. They will be responsible for leading site-based teams and contractors in ensuring all project safety regulations and health and safety procedures are implemented.

Responsibilities include:

* Pit Operations Management: Oversee the execution of drill and blast operations, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and implement quality control measures.
* Earthworks Construction: Manage the construction of roads, crusher operations, civil earthworks, and water management systems.
* Schedule and Budget Management: Directly manage the overall earthworks construction schedule and budget to track and report project progress.
* Leadership and Team Management: Lead large, multi-discipline crews, provide guidance and oversight to direct reports, and promote team building and a respectful work environment.
* Project Execution: Ensure timely completion of projects, manage multiple workfronts, and maintain environmental and safety standards.

Requirements:

* Minimum 10 years of direct supervisory/management experience in heavy civil and/or mining.
* Demonstrated experience in mine planning, scheduling, construction leadership, and drill & blast.
* Bachelor's degree in Mining or Civil Engineering (preferred).
* Valid Driver's License.
* Experience working in remote mining or industrial environments.

About the Role:

This is a site-based camp job at our mine site, requiring a 15 days on/13 days off rotation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Ground transportation will be provided from local communities to the mine site facilities. For those applicants located elsewhere in western Canada, flight transportation from major urban centers will be provided to the nearest airport, from which shuttles will provide transportation to the mine camp facilities.

The Eskay Creek Revitalization Project is located within the Coast Mountains of Northwestern British Columbia and Tahltan Territory. This position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, walking on uneven ground, and physically handling/lifting/moving heavy objects.
