We have a fantastic opportunity for an experience Consultant – Marketing to join our Business Development team in Melbourne office.

The Consultant - Marketing role spans the range of marketing and business development disciplines, providing business development and marketing support to select practice and marketing groups. This role will work closely with the Director of Business Development and Marketing on Firm wide marketing and communications related projects with a particular focus on brand and content development.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing and communications

* Updating and maintenance of the firm website design and content.
* Formulating the social media strategy and managing social media platforms.
* Drafting awards submissions for teams and individuals to build the profile and reputation in important sectors and service areas.
* Producing engaging communications pieces, including campaigns and content for our external audiences, including driving external marketing activities that advance our industry voice, build brand and reputation.
* Delivering engaging marketing collateral that communicates our value proposition and represents the firm’s brand.
* Writing, editing, designing and distributing various materials, including media releases and news stories.
* Lead the planning and execution of events, webinars, seminars, and functions, including preparation and distribution of invitations, coordinating guest lists and RSVPs, and managing the technical aspects of zoom webinars.
* Play an integral role in promoting and maintaining the firm’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) system including creating and running reports, updating contact details and managing multiple entries, and supporting event and communication management through the system.
* Assist the lawyers and Business Development team to prepare and distribute written communications, including formatting, editing and proof reading various communication documents e.g. client newsletters, bulletins, profiles, template documents and presentations.
* Strong technical skills required – editing and updating the Website, drawing reports from OnePlace, our Client Relationship Management database.

Business Development

* Work with the Sector and Practice groups to implement a strategic business plan and identify business opportunities with existing clients and prospects.
* Be a key Business Development point of contact for the allocated groups.
* Provide operational support to implement business plans; including campaign development and management, writing of marketing material, event management and marketing communications.
* Hold groups accountable to marketing plans and budget.
* Work with allocated Practice and Marketing groups on Key Client Management planning.
* Work with the principals in the allocated groups to project manage bids, including tactical requirements, capability statements and initiating strategy discussion.

Operational support

* Oversight of the Client Relationship management database, liaising with suppliers and working with the broader BD team to ensure we best leverage the functionality of the system.
* Contributing to management reports;
* Reviewing and managing sponsorships;
* Maintains cyber security at all times. Cultivate an awareness of security risks, stay informed of latest cyber threats, instil best cybersecurity practises and take practical steps to protect the firm and client from cyberattacks.
* Ad hoc duties as and when required.

* Ability to work semi-autonomously.
* Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
* Communicates in a professional manner with clients and colleagues and builds rapport.
* Excellent IT literacy, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.Exposure to InDesign, website content management systems and CRM systems preferred.

Experience

* 2+ years marketing experience or a related field, ideally within a corporate or professional services environment.
* Prior exposure to the legal industry or other professional services sectors is desirable.
