Role Purpose
Reporting to the Head Chef, as Sous Chef you will foster a motivated team who provide the highest quality food experience that celebrates local produce and elevating guest experiences.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
* Pioneering the guest satisfaction at Boardwalk Social by delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
* Cultivating a culture of innovation and a penchant for pushing culinary boundaries.
* Providing hands‐on leadership during all service periods and shifts.
* Collaborate closely with the F B Service leadership team.
* Ensuring rigorous departmental training aligns with our high standards.
* Foster seamless communication and coordination with all hotel departments.
* Overseeing workplace health and safety procedures.
* Contribute to the creation of seasonal menus, promotional offerings, and event packages.
* Partnering with the Executive Chef to manage budget expectations through insightful analysis, forecasting, and controls.
* Supporting efficient procurement, production, preparation, and presentation of all culinary delights.
* Championing the hotel's food safety program to meet and exceed regulatory requirements.
* Cultivating an engaged team environment with an outstanding local reputation, attracting and retaining top culinary talent.
Skills and Experience
You will be enthusiastic and have technical experience from working in a high‐functioning kitchen environment, as well as holding a trade qualification relevant to your position.
* A technical talent and experience with modern cuisine
* Demonstrated experience in a fast‐paced dining setting
* Sound knowledge of WH S legislation and Health regulations
* Super cool nature under pressure
* High attention to detail and well organised
* Ability to work across a 7‐day roster
