Alfred Health's non-traumatic spinal cord Service is a specialized statewide, interdisciplinary clinical service for adults with non-traumatic spinal cord damage, provided at Caulfield Hospital. It involves allied health, medical, and nursing professionals with specialized knowledge to deliver optimal care to this complex patient group.
Position Summary:
Nurse Educators are leaders within nursing and education, exemplifying and promoting excellence in practice. They support clinical nurses to achieve optimal patient care outcomes, act as professional role models, and respond to developmental needs by collaborating with stakeholders to implement relevant programs.
The Spinal Nurse Educator will provide expert support and clinical guidance across the continuum from acute to community care, and lead curriculum development and implementation.

Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
* Postgraduate certificate in education; working towards a Master of Nursing or Education
* Experience in education or support roles
* Extensive clinical knowledge in spinal or rehabilitation nursing, or clinical leadership in these areas
* Understanding of nursing scope of practice, supervision, and delegation
