Urban Development Role
City of Stirling offers a Permanent Opportunity for an Urban Development Officer. This position is focused on shaping the city's future by developing and implementing urban planning policies.
As an Urban Development Officer, you will assess development applications for heritage places, draft and review local planning policies, and evaluate Local Planning Scheme amendments. You will also conduct land use planning research, coordinate responses to State planning initiatives, provide advice to the public and developers, and represent the council in meetings and inquiries.
The ideal candidate will have a Tertiary qualification in Urban or Town Planning and experience in statutory or strategic planning. They should possess strong research and analytical skills, a clear and confident communication style, knowledge of planning legislation and processes, and the ability to collaborate and influence respectfully.
