Title of Position: Performing Arts Aide: Dance and Drama
Type of Appointment: Part Time – 12 hours per week (Term Time)
Role Description
Pacific Lutheran College has an extensive and high-quality performing arts program. The Performing Arts Aide Dance and Drama provides administrative support to the Head of Dance and Drama and works as part of the team to improve the student experience in the performing arts.
Responsibilities
* Support the Lutheran ethos of the College, including involvement in staff devotions and retreats.
* Provide administrative services to enhance the quality of learning and performing arts experience for students.
* Engage in ongoing professional learning and contribute to professional discussions with colleagues.
* Foster effective learning partnerships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community.
* Support the planning and execution of dance ensembles and drama productions, including communication of rehearsals, performance times, and maintaining attendance records.
* Photocopy and record‐keep playscripts, classroom materials, and related copyright documentation.
* Assist in the planning, organisation and running of major performing‐arts events and showcase productions, including production of certificates and payment of trophies.
* Support budget management, purchase orders and collection of materials for the department.
* Maintain a stock‐take of drama and dance equipment, assist with storage, replacement and ordering of resources.
* Support incursion and excursion preparations, including communication with parents, students and staff, and handling of permissions and medical forms.
* Assist in the development of monthly updates and promotional material for the Community Liaison and Communications Officer.
* Adhere to the College's policies, especially Workplace Health and Safety, and maintain office equipment and supplies.
* Maintain confidentiality and complete administrative tasks as directed by the College Principal.
Workplace Health and Safety
All staff must perform work safely, follow written and verbal safety instructions, report injuries, maintain good housekeeping and wear appropriate protective gear. Staff are expected to cooperate with risk assessments and accident investigations when requested.
Essential Experience and Skills
* Interest and/or experience in dance and drama.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, courteous and responsive to colleagues, students, parents and the public.
* Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work effectively as part of a team with limited supervision.
* Administrative skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and the Adobe suite.

Qualifications, Review and Conditions
The position is paid under the School Officers' Award – Non‐Governmental Schools and complies with the Lutheran Church of Australia agreements. Successful applicants must have Microsoft Office experience, a Blue Card or eligibility to acquire one, and meet suitability to work with children requirements.
