Our Head of Clinical Care will work alongside our Head of Hospitality and Services and the executive team to establish Symbol's clinical foundations. While our strategic, brand and corporate frameworks are in place, we are now building the leadership capability to deliver on our promise of Positive Aged Care.
This is a foundational senior leadership role. You will design, implement and lead Symbol's Clinical Governance Framework for Support at Home, ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality care from day one.
You will provide clinical leadership across the organisation and report on quality, safety and risk to the Approved Provider and Board.
You will likely have experience building or reshaping clinical services and understand both the regulatory landscape and the human responsibility that comes with it. You will recognise that aged care can be both clinically rigorous and deeply personal — and be motivated to prove it.

Key Responsibilities
Establish and lead Symbol's Clinical Governance Framework (Support at Home)
Provide executive clinical oversight of all care delivered in the community
Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and Support at Home requirements
Oversee incident management, including SIRS reporting and regulatory engagement
Ensure safe and effective medication management practices in home settings
Identify, monitor and mitigate clinical risk across community clients
Lead care planning, clinical review and escalation frameworks
Oversee restrictive practices compliance in accordance with legislation
Develop and implement clinical training and competency frameworks
Supervise and support Registered Nurses and delegated care staff
Work collaboratively with the Head of Hospitality and Services to embed clinical excellence within Symbol's hospitality-driven service model
Provide regular clinical performance and risk reporting to the Approved Provider and Board
Qualifications & Experience
Registered Nurse (AHPRA registered)
Minimum five years' senior clinical leadership experience in aged care or community care
Demonstrated experience implementing the Aged Care Quality Standards
Experience managing incident reporting, SIRS and regulatory compliance
Strong understanding of clinical governance and risk management
Proven ability to lead teams and influence organisational culture
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
