Organisation We are partnering with a highly established, nationally recognised industrial manufacturing organisation operating a multi-site production footprint across Australia. The business services blue-chip customers across food, health and consumer markets and operates within a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment. With revenue north of $1 billion, this role plays a critical part in driving financial performance, operational accountability and commercial discipline across four manufacturing sites. About the Role Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a critical leadership role within Group Finance, responsible for overseeing external financial and sustainability reporting. You will lead the end-to-end statutory reporting process, including group consolidation, half-year and full-year reporting, while also playing a key role in delivering the organisation’s climate reporting roadmap. This is a highly visible role, partnering with senior leadership, auditors, and key stakeholders across the business, and acting as the technical accounting lead on complex transactions, strategic initiatives, and new accounting standards Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation of Group statutory financial reports (half-year and full-year) Own the Group consolidation process and financial control framework Act as the technical accounting expert across the business Provide advice on complex transactions including acquisitions, divestments, and financing structures Lead external audit processes and manage key audit relationships Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, systems, and controls Oversee impairment modelling, cash flow reporting, and covenant compliance Partner with Sustainability teams to deliver climate and ESG reporting requirements Lead and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals Support Board and executive-level reporting on key accounting matters You are a technically strong and commercially astute finance leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. You will bring: CA/CPA qualification Extensive experience (15 years) in statutory reporting within a large ideally ASX-listed environment Deep technical accounting expertise (AASB / IFRS) Proven experience leading group reporting for complex, multi-entity organisations Strong exposure to external audit and stakeholder management at senior levels Experience with ESG / climate reporting (highly regarded) A track record of driving process improvement and system enhancements Strong leadership capability, with experience mentoring and developing teams Confidential enquiries can be directed to Danielle Bower at dbower@sharpandcarter.com.au
