A unique opportunity exists for a Clinical Auditor/Educator to join the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Coding Team. The position provides coding auditing and education within the Clinical Coding team across NSLHD.

What you'll be doing
The Coding Auditor/Educator will contribute toward the achievement of revenue optimisation, data quality and the comprehensive Case mix profile within the Northern Sydney Local Health District. The position provides advice, exchanges information, gives presentations, negotiates and consults clinicians on a wide range of coding related issues.
The position provides coding auditing and education within the Clinical Coding team across NSLHD, including the co-ordination and control of coding quality related activities and the standard of work quality.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria.
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Health Information Management and recognised qualifications in clinical coding and auditing, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
* Demonstrated experience in developing, designing and delivering education and training programs relating to clinical coding.
* High level of competency and extensive experience performing clinical coding audits and provision of education using ICD-10-AM and ACHI, with a thorough understanding of the Australian Coding Standards.
