About us King Street Psychology Clinic is a multidisciplinary mental health clinic comprising 16 clinical psychologists/clinical registrars, speech pathologists, and a psychiatrist, providing evidence-based mental health treatment for children, adolescents and adults in the inner west of Sydney. The clinic comprises three services: 1. Our General Mental Health Service provides clinical psychology services for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of mental health difficulties and an assessment service for Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, & learning issues. 2. Our Child & Adolescent Gender Service is Australia's only private clinic specialising in assessment, diagnosis, family support, and gender-related care for child and adolescent gender dysphoria. 3. Our Adult Gender & Sexology Service provides culturally aware and evidence-based therapy for adults. We are seeking an experienced and competent practice manager with a mature, confident, and down-to-earth manner to work closely with the clinic director and other support staff to ensure a high level of operational efficiency and a high standard of service for our clients. End Date: 14.03.2024 Requirements Essential At least 3-5 years of practice management or comparable work experience in a healthcare (or comparable) setting Exceptional professionalism Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and client service skills Exceptional organisational, planning, time management, multi-tasking, delegation and task communication skills Demonstrated strengths in tasks such as scheduling, billing and accounts management, organising workspaces, developing practice procedures. Fast learner who is able to work autonomously and flexibly adapt to the needs and best interest of the environment Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook or comparable email applications Proficiency with Powerdiary/Halaxy and/or other practice management software Desirable Experience of working within a psychology or mental health service Tertiary degree or diploma in Healthcare Administration, Business Strong knowledge of healthcare systems and regulations Ideally proficient in Xero bookkeeping software Competent use of other software applications e.g. Microsoft Power Point Competent with Windows and Mac operating systems Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic Create a welcoming and respectful environment for patients, including those who are gender and sexuality diverse Help to create a professional and collegial environment for practitioners and support staff Manage financial tasks including bookkeeping, budgeting, forecasting, and analysing monthly financial reports Manage a team of casual and part-time reception staff Assist clinic director in managing staff schedules, recruitment, training, and performance evaluations (increasing autonomy with demonstrated competence) Ensure practice compliance with industry standards and legal regulations (e.g., Medicare regulations) Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with healthcare regulations and standards Manage advertising for the clinic/clinic services in coordination with the clinic director and senior psychologists Assisting patients with understanding insurance coverage, processing claims, and addressing billing inquiries Assist the clinic director in developing and implementing strategies for practice growth and business development Support reception team in their duties as needed Assist clinic director in practice administration generally Preparation of internal memos and communications, coordination and planning of practice meetings and events or promotional activities as instructed by the clinic director Days/Hours Monday to Friday (8.45am to 5.45pm)_ Residency Requirements Australian / New Zealand Citizens and Permanent Residents only Applications Please provide a cover letter with your resume which addresses the specific requirements advertised.
