Traineeship Overview:
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual aged 16 to 21 to join our team as a Civil Construction Trainee.
Certificate III in Civil Construction (Pipelaying Stream) - This traineeship is designed to provide young adults with comprehensive training and hands-on experience in the field of pipelaying. Throughout the traineeship, you will work alongside experienced professionals, receive formal training, and gain practical knowledge of pipelaying techniques. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Assisting in the installation and maintenance of pipelines.
* Operating machinery and equipment used in pipelaying projects, under supervision.
* Learning and implementing safety protocols and industry best practices.
* Participating in training sessions to achieve the Certificate III qualification.
What do pipe layers do?
Pipe layers install underground pipes on major infrastructure projects such as highways, dams and the drainage of airfields and sub-divisions. These pipes may be constructed from steel or plastic and are used for stormwater, sewerage, water supply and gas pipelines that may extend many hundreds of kilometres. The work is project based, therefore pipe layers may work in town or be required to work out of town for the duration of the projects they are on.

This is a 3 year traineeship with a formal QLD training contract.
